Feeding Guidelines

Feeding Guidelines

An adult cat typically consumes 20 kcals (calories) per pound per day. For example, a healthy adult cat weighing 10 pounds should consume approximately 200 calories a day.*

Kittens under 12 months typically need 30-40 kcals per pound.*

Each 8-ounce container of Bootsie's consists of approximately 307 calories. If feeding a healthy, 10-pound adult cat, you would need approximately 2/3 of a container per day.

This can be divided up into as many feedings as your cat prefers.

Remember: 200 calories is the approximate total amount needed per day for a 10-pound cat. Please consider calories in treats and/or other food when calculating daily intake requirements.

*These amounts might vary depending on multiple factors. Always talk with your veterinarian before introducing new food and about feeding requirements.
