Made-to-Order Food for Your Companion
The term "custom pet food" is a buzzword in the pet food industry. While many fresh pet food companies claim to "customize" food by portioning feeding sizes and adding a pet's name to the label, none work personally with your veterinarian or veterinary nutritionist to prepare fresh food tailored to your pet's specific dietary needs. Paul's Custom Pet Food does.
If your companion needs a special diet due to a disease, food sensitivity, or other medical condition, we work with veterinarians, veterinary nutritionists, and canine/feline diet formulators to prepare fresh therapeutic food specific to your pets’ unique dietary needs, as determined by your veterinary team.
We do not formulate recipes on our own. Think of us as your local pet food pharmacy filling your veterinarian's prescription. Please see the process for obtaining a made-to-order recipe below.
*Veterinarian approval is required for all therapeutic diets; no exceptions!
How to Order
-
Step 1
Consult with a veterinarian or veterinary nutritionist to determine your pet's unique dietary needs and have a custom, fresh prescription recipe approved.
-
Step 2
If you don't have a veterinarian or nutritionist who will prescribe a fresh therapeutic diet, please consult with one of the experts below or visit the site, BalanceIt.com.
-
Step 3
After we receive your pet's recipe, our team will provide an estimate to prepare it. If you accept the estimate, we will carefully source the freshest ingredients and make the recipe according to the precise instructions of the prescribing veterinarian or nutritionist.
-
Step 4
Once the recipe is prepared, we will ship or deliver it directly to you with clear instructions on how to store and serve it to your pet.
To get started, please fill out the information below. If you already have a recipe, please attach it.
If you are working with a veterinarian or nutritionist, please provide their name and contact info.
If you do not have a pet nutrition consultant, we recommend:
1. The nutrition specialists on this page; or
2. The website, BalanceIt.com. We will prepare a recipe from BalanceIt with veterinary approval.
We recommend the following Board-Certified Veterinary Nutritionists if your pet has special dietary needs due to a medical condition.
Please contact them directly to arrange a personalized consultation and formulation of a recipe that we can prepare for you and your companion.
